Released a new development snapshot today, to fix LP bug # 515461, plus which incorporates the recent work done fixing the import of screenshots with non-english locales:

This will probably be the base for a new 0.8.0-alpha8 release soon.

I've also been taking a lot of time earlier in the week to read through the source code for Record My Desktop, to gain an appreciation of how they're doing screencasting.  Only about 1/3 of the way through thus far.  They make large use of multi-threading, so this is providing me a good intro to that as well, which should be useful and is already giving me ideas for improving Salasaga as it is.

Working on and off over the last few days on fixing a problem, whereby having non-english characters in a project name, file name, or folder path name, would cause various problems (including with importing screenshots).  This was affecting users of languages other than English, but wasn't something I'd come across before now, as I don't speak anything other than English at this point.  Also fixed a bug in the way the Edit -> Preferences dialog was retrieving folder names.  It would sometimes get the parent folder of a selection, depending upon how a user selected a folder.
