Development Log August 2007

Friday, 3rd August 2007

Did something a bit different after work today. Cranked up the old Windows XP virtual machine to see what it would take to get Flame to compile on it. Very much surprised me, and compiled out-of-the-box (no changes needed!). Wow. Cool. So, generated a new package, this time for Windows:

 http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=58083&package_id=53841&release_id=529605

It needs GTK to already be installed on your system:

 http://sourceforge.net/project/downloading.php?groupname=gimp-win&filename=gtk%2B-2.10.13-setup.exe

The windows version doesn't have the screen capture utility in it, as I've only written the *nix version of that and would have to write a windows specific version. However, it loads the Sample Project B fine, and generates valid SVG from it that which Opera 9.x happily loads and runs. Quite pleased actually. :)
