Some stuff I noticed in Salasaga (All can be simply fixed - I guess Roll Eyes ) :

  • Save button works as Save As, while there is no Save As button.
  • Open, New & Quit buttons should raise a message box asking the user to save the current project if it was edited without saving the changes.

Thanks Grin

Wow, thanks!

Yep, you're right, that's all fairly easy stuff. Smiley

The Save button was done that way when I was first getting things up and running.  Lots of "just make it work" decisions done then.  Grin

The Open/New/Quit buttons... that hadn't even occurred to me.  Definitely needs to be done.

Btw - Full Circle Magazine, as you mention on your blog, looks pretty cool.  (It's about the only thing I could read though, oh well.  I should really learn something other than English one day.  Roll Eyes )

OK, Thanks.

That magazine is pretty cool, the author also post more nice stuff on his website, subscribe to its RSS feed & everything will come to your frontdoor.

Also Ubuntu Weekly Newsletter comes with various nice stuff.

Other magazines and useful things I read are not in English so no need for more URLs  Roll Eyes

Ok, that should be all complete now:

  • Separate Save and Save As menu options/icons/behaviour
  • Warning dialog if the user goes to do New/Open/Quit and there are unsaved changes

Also added a Close dialog too, as it's been on my ToDo list for a while and it was pretty easy. Smiley

The updated code is in Subversion.  Do you want me to make a new development snapshot tarball for you?

Will be nice.

Will this affect the X (Close) button too?
If not then consider it.

Thanks Smiley

No worries. Smiley

New development snapshot tarball:

  http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=58083&package_id=53841&release_id=590170

Just double checked if the save warning already applies to the Close button too (just in case), and it does.

But yeah... I had to check. Heh. Cool
