Hello,

I am trying to use Salasaga since I heard of it (a few month ago).
I like most of the time how it perform due to my limitations. I have only one
problem (so far) and I don't even know if it is my fault or it is the program's fault.

My language I want to use is Romanian. Not into the GUI but in the
presentation that I want to make.

When I write something in a slide using diacritics they are accepted
and well displayed.
When I want to see what I've done, in the browser, when I play the swf file
the diacritics are replaced with strange characters.

This is do to the program limitations at this time or is just my fault?

If I wasn't clear please tell me and I will bring new specifications.

Hi Doru,

Yes, you're completely correct.

The GUI itself accepts diacritics.

However, when we output swf we're relying on an external library, and this part that isn't working well for you.

I need to look into this, find out why it's happening, and fix the problem.

It could be many things.  It may be a problem with the way Salasaga is communicating with the external library, or it may be a problem with the external library itself and the font we're embedding.  Not sure yet.

Either way, in a few weeks this will be fixed, and you'll be able to output diacritics properly. Smiley

Does that work for you?

The fact that you give me an answer so quickly it help.
But the fact that I can't use diacritics don't.

Don't worry, I love to much the program to give up so soon.
I will continue using it no mater what and I hope that the
project will grow.

I will try to use the svn version (if I can find it). I tried
already successfully,  to use  Salasaga on Ubuntu for 64 bits.

When you decide that is time to release the version that can
be translate into other languages I can try to help with the
Romanian translation.

Thank you

Hi Doru,

A lot of happened over the last few months, and diacritics now work, plus many people have been contributing translations.

Are you still interested in translation to Romanian? Grin

Regards and best wishes,
