Hello,
I compiled the last version and did salasaga -d.
The capture is still working and importing when taken with the camera icon but not when the captures are placed in a folder.
I attached the debug file.
Hope this helps!
Bye

Hi Christophe,

Close...  Grin

The "salasaga -d" log file shows errors when you when to install it.  Notice the "Permission non accordée" messages from your "make install"?

They're saying that Ubuntu didn't let you install the new version.

So, the previous version was still in place when you ran the salasaga -d.

You probably need to do "sudo make install" instead of just "make install".  That should let the installer work correctly, and put updated version of salasaga in place.

Code:
...
toto@toto-laptop:~/Documents/Progrm_linux/salasaga$ make install
Making install in po
make[1]: entrant dans le répertoire « /home/toto/Documents/Progrm_linux/salasaga/po »
/bin/mkdir -p /usr/local/share
/usr/bin/install: ne peut enlever `/usr/local/share/locale/ar/LC_MESSAGES/salasaga.mo': Permission non accordée
installing ar.gmo as /usr/local/share/locale/ar/LC_MESSAGES/salasaga.mo
/usr/bin/install: ne peut enlever `/usr/local/share/locale/bg/LC_MESSAGES/salasaga.mo': Permission non accordée
installing bg.gmo as /usr/local/share/locale/bg/LC_MESSAGES/salasaga.mo

Cool, thanks Christophe.

That's showing a lot more useful information. Smiley

In the folder "/home/toto/salasaga/screenshot", there are several screen shot files with names like "screenshot001.png", "screenshot002.png", and so on.

I'm not sure, but I suspect they were created with one of the previous versions of Salasaga we've been trying.

If you create new screen shots, they should still be going into this folder, but they're probably named differently.

Can you please take another screen shot with this version of Salasaga, then check if a new file is created with a completely different file name?  I'm suspecting it will be created with the translated words for "screen shot".

It's also possible it might be looking for that file name when importing, so the new screen shot might be imported, but the older "wrongly named" ones might be getting ignored.

Hello,
Now it is working great but I was surprise to find a translation of screenshot in french using french accent "é" and '... why not simply translating by "capture0001" in stat of "capture d'écran0001" Using this type of spelling could maybe create problems later like it happens in some software's.
Just a thought!

Awesome.  Very glad it's finally working. Smiley

The name of screenshot files is controlled by the volunteer translation team(s).  I do understand your concern, but I'd rather give them the freedom to use any (valid) UTF-8 characters, and concentrate on having Salasaga "do the right thing".

It makes it a bit harder sometimes, as new bugs show up, but in the end we should get there. (I hope). Grin
